JakLingko officially serves payment for Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train tickets

Jakarta (ANTARA) – A subsidiary of the Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD), PT JakLingko Indonesia, has officially participated as one of the partners in the ticketing payment system for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (KCJB).

This was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the President Director of PT JakLingko Indonesia, Muhamad Kamaluddin, and the President Director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, at the PT KCIC Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday (1/2).

“We appreciate the opportunity for JakLingko Indonesia to facilitate the purchase of Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway tickets that are connected to public transportation,” said Kamaluddin in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

Kamaluddin explained that the public has been provided with many options for ticket purchases, including for the four transportation modes in Jabodetabek that are already integrated with JakLingko tickets.

He hopes that transportation users will find it increasingly easy to be mobile using a single application and card, including for new transportation fleets such as the high-speed railway.

Through this synergy, JakLingko is optimistic that the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, as one of the national strategic projects, will be widely used, especially for reaching Jabodetabek and its surrounding areas.

“We view 2023 as a year of pride for Indonesian transportation with the upcoming operation of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, as the first high-speed train in Southeast Asia, supported by the JakLingko Indonesia Digital Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform,” he said.

Currently, the JakLingko Indonesia application has been downloaded by more than 400,000 users and is actively used by many users of MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, as well as by users of Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) and Grab users in Jabodetabek.

PT JakLingko Indonesia is a joint venture of four transportation entities, namely PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), PT TransJakarta, and PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek (MITJ), engaged in intermodal transportation payment systems and tariffs.

The JakLingko application and transport card are currently used to make payments for multi-modal travel tickets on MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, LRT Jakarta, and the Commuterline.
