Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT JakLingko Indonesia ensures that when customers tap their electronic money cards when boarding and alighting (tap in-tap out) TransJakarta buses, the system records only one payment.
“We have made system changes, specifically when passengers 'tap out'. So, if the card has already been deducted on a non-BRT route, it will not be deducted again at the BRT station,” said the President Director of PT JakLingko Indonesia, Muhamad Kamaluddin, when met in Jakarta, Sunday.
Kamaluddin explained that some time ago there were indeed complaints from citizens who felt their balance was deducted twice when boarding from non-BRT and alighting at a BRT station.
This Sunday, ANTARA together with JakLingko reviewed the “tap in-tap out” system to ensure that balance deduction occurs only when alighting from a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station. Meanwhile, on non-BRT services, namely for customers on public lanes or feeder bus stops, the balance will be deducted once when boarding or alighting from TransJakarta. Therefore, JakLingko ensures that it is currently making improvements so that double balance deductions do not recur, primarily for customers. In addition to adding a checking system, his party is also gradually conducting tests on the card tapping machines so they work faster and do not cause queues. As for the blocking system, it is implemented for customers who have not "tapped out" when alighting from a JakLingko vehicle, thus requiring a reset to pay the unprocessed balance.
“Because citizens are now aware and disciplined in 'tapping out'. So, we changed it to 'tap in' just once to reset the card,” he continued.
The President Director of PT JakLingko Indonesia added that his party is committed to returning the customer's balance if it is indeed deducted twice during “tap in-tap out”. Customers only need to report the card number used and then contact PT JakLingko Indonesia's customer service.
“So the refund process requires the customer to contact the JakLingko Indonesia WhatsApp customer care at 081260001440,” he said. If after checking it is found that the balance was indeed deducted twice, then his party will process the return through the JakLingko application. Customers are served for this balance return process within six to a maximum of seven days.
