Jakarta Transportation Agency: Integrated Fare Accessible via JakLingko App and Card
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta Transportation Agency stated that the implementation of the integrated fare for three mass public transportation modes—TransJakarta, MRT, and LRT—can now be used via the JakLingko application and card.
“Both can be used. So now, the application itself is ready today, it can be tried, and the same goes for the transportation card,” said the Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, in Jakarta, Thursday.
For illustration, he said, the public can use the JakLingko application from the point of departure to the destination with the most economical route. For example, departing from Fatmawati MRT Station toward the Bank Indonesia TransJakarta Bus Stop. Thus, prospective passengers have several choices, one of which is the most economical route with a cost of Rp5,750 and an estimated total travel time of 60 minutes.
For that economical route, he said, users depart from Fatmawati MRT Station to Istora MRT Station, then switch to the Polda Metro Jaya TransJakarta Bus Stop, then head to the Bank Indonesia TransJakarta Bus Stop (southbound). The savings for that route reach Rp6,750 from the usual cost of Rp12,500 per trip.
Syafrin also provided an illustration of a journey from Pegangsaan Dua LRT Station to Lebak Bulus MRT Station. The integrated fare for the most economical route reaches Rp9,250 with a travel time of 105 minutes, which is more economical compared to the usual fare of Rp17,000 one way.
The route is from Pegangsaan Dua LRT to Velodrome LRT, then switching to the Pemuda Rawamangun TransJakarta Bus Stop via corridor 4C and alighting at the Polda Metro Jaya TransJakarta Bus Stop. From the Polda Metro Jaya TransJakarta Bus Stop, then through the Istora MRT Station toward the Lebak Bulus MRT Station.
Syafrin added that for the transfer of these mass transportation modes, users need to scan in and out (tap in and tap out) for both the application and the JakLingko card so they can be read by the system, as they are part of a single integrated unit.
His party is intensifying the socialization of the integrated fare for the three mass public transportation modes—TransJakarta, MRT, and LRT Jakarta—over the next month to increase usage, with a maximum integrated fare of Rp10,000.
The JakLingko application can be downloaded for free by the public, including through the Google Playstore, while for the card, he said, users can use JakLingko, Bank DKI, and Bank Mandiri cards.
For electronic money from other banks, he said, they can still be used but must be updated first at the JakLingko counter so there is no need to buy a new card.
