When you install the JakLingko app on your Android phone, you'll be shown a list of permissions the app requests. These permission descriptions are created by Google and are worded the same for each app—currently, JakLingko Apps can't customize them. To ensure you understand what features we access and what data we collect, we've provided a more detailed breakdown and discussion of the permissions below. Clicking on a permission will take you to Google's official documentation for that permission.
1. identity
This permission allows the JakLingko App to fill in your email address, name, and phone number from your contact card during registration.
2. Contact
Used by the app to select a mobile number from your contacts saved on your phone for purchasing/paying for phone credit or Payment Point Online Banking (PPOB) by selecting the Contacts icon. You can choose whether or not to allow it to access the service. If you allow it to access the service, the actions it can take on your behalf may be limited by the service (up to the service), and the service may allow you to revoke that permission later (usually through the "connected apps" list on the service's website).
3. Location
The app does not save your location to persistent memory on your device, but may store your current location on your device. The app collects and sends approximate and precise location data to the JakLingko App servers to personalize your experience; to display your trip history on your receipt; to facilitate customer selection and retention; to determine which products, promotions, and surveys are relevant to you; to use for aggregated analytics purposes; and to customize and improve the location-based services we provide. In addition to GPS, we may use other methods to determine your precise location if Location Services are enabled, including Wi-Fi signals.
5. Phone
Allows the JakLingko App to have read-only access to the phone's current cellular network information status.
5. Photos/Media/Files
We need access to read USB storage so you can use your phone to retrieve photos from the gallery if you want to share them with others. The gallery feature in the app uses this permission to allow images to be saved as temporary image files to your phone's external storage, such as an SD card.
6. Camera
This permission allows the JakLingko App to fill in your email address, name, and phone number from your contact card during registration.
7. NFC
We need access to NFC for the feature to read the Multi Trip Card (KMT) number and balance.
8. Device ID & Call Information
Used to obtain your Android device ID, which is sent to the JakLingko App server and used in fraud prevention efforts.
9. Others
- using an account on the device
This permission generates a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token associated with the User account. This token is sent to the JakLingko Apps server so that notifications can be sent to you.
- full network access
This permission is required to access the internet, including communicating with the JakLingko Apps server, connecting to third-party services, and downloading content.
- control vibrations
This permission allows the JakLingko Apps application to vibrate your phone when something important happens, for example when receiving a notification.
- prevent the device from sleeping
This permission is used to wake up the device when a notification is received so that important information can be immediately conveyed to the User.
- using a network connection
This permission is used by JakLingko Apps to detect network connection status and notify Users when internet connection is unavailable.
